Jungle Safari Wildlife Tour In Rajaji National Park

This Park is Located in Uttarakhand India.National Park has area of 821 square kms. Rajaji is situated in Haridwar & Dehradun & Pauri district. Haridwar & Rishikesh is nearest Major cities. Rajaji has highest count of elephant than all other parks of India. Leopard,Tiger, Barking deer,Monkey, Wild Boar,Antelopes,Sambar deer, such as the Nilgai & Goral are also living in Park. The Park has more than 401 birds species. Snowy-browed Flycatcher,Rusty-flanked Treecreeper,Pale-footed Bush Warbler, Scaly Thrush, Green Avadavat,Tytler's Leaf Warbler, Reed Bunting, Black-necked Stork,Yellow-billed Blue Magpie Greater Scaup, Northern Goshawk, White-naped Woodpecker, Great Hornbill, Black-bellied Tern, Pallas's Fish Eagle are most popular birds species found in rajaji.

Holy Ganga is also one of the most important factor of the Park. The Ganges has total 26 km flow in national park. Rajaji National Park offers opportunity to nature Seekar to enjoy the beautiful wildlife & landscape. This National park is the first arranged ground for the migratory bird when they cross Great Himalayas to enter India. The western Himalayan fire tailed sunbird, Great Pied Hornbill & Pied Kingfisher is some of the local birds of this National park.

History:-

Park was put in place in 1983. In Past it was Saprated in 03 different types of pollullar sanctuaries widely known as Rajaji sanctuary& Motichur sanctuary & Chilla sanctuary. Rajaji sanctuary was put in place in 1948. Motichur sanctuary was put in place in 1964. Chilla sanctuary was put in place in 1977. Government decided In 1983 to merge these three pollular sanctuaries. New sanctuary called after well known Raj Gopalacharya( freedom fighter of India and 1st Governor General India ). He was known as Rajaji, so the National park is now named as Rajaji National Park.

Weather:-

October to February is winter season at park. Temperature is vibrate 9 C to 15 C. Atmosphere is cold and you will get great opportunity to look birds like Pied Kingfisher,Plumbeous Redstarts, White Capped & Himalayan .

Spring season is March to April in Rajaji . Climate is splandid and this is a best time to visit park. Temperature is between 15C to 25C. May to June is summer season in park. During this season you will get Great chances to See wild animals and birds because they have to come at nearest river or Lakes for water many time.

July to September is monsoon season in park. National Park in normally closed during this season. Whole Park looks landscape and green looks splandid.

Indian Entry fees - Rs. 150.00 per Head for 03 hrs Jungle Safari at Chilla Range.
Foreign Entry fees - Rs. 600.00 per Head for 03 hrs Jungle Safari at Chilla Range.
camera fee - Rs.50 for foreigners.

Jungle Safari

Safari at Rajaji is oprate during 15 November - 15 June every season. Total 35 km drive in passes through lush green and thick forest areas. The safari at Rajaji provides opportunity to see groups of deer ,monkeys, Sambhar,cheetal, peacocksor, Elephant & many more animals and difrent kind od bird.Jeep Safari or Jungle Safari is open in 2 ranges. Chilla Range & Motichur Range .

Timings :

There are 2 time table in park. 06 AM to 10 AM in Morning is first Morning safari & 2 PM to 6 PM is second Evening safari time .

Safari Rules :-

Everyone should Avoid Dark color cloths.You should Keep silence for better chance to view animals. Shouting & chasing animals, teasing is Fully prohibited. Don't get down from your jeep except designated points. Plastic is fully prohibited in Rajaji National park.

How to reach :-

Park has good connectivity by road. Delhi is 235 kms far from here.

Railway station of Haridwar is just 19 kms from rajaji. 19 kms from Rishikesh and Jollygrant Airprt(Dehradun) is 35 kms far from park.

Form New Delhi there are daily flights for Jollygrant Dehradun. Motichur Range & Chilla Range are one of the best option for Jungle Safari.
